M8 Metric Torx Socket Flat Head Cap Screw, Stainless
Flat head torx cap screws have a 90 degree angle underneath the head. When installed, the head of this screw is meant to sit flush with the surface of the work in a countersunk hole. Measured by overall length, including the head.
Torx drive screws provide higher torque transfer because the driving forces are transferred to each surface of the six lobes (wobble-free), instead of the four edges of the four edges on a phillips drive. Additional benefits include less wear on tools and no damage to the stainless steel surface coating.
Torx drive flat head screws are fully threaded, meant to engage with a tapped hole. These bolts can be used with many different styles of locking and non-locking nuts, tightly clamping together whatever the cap screw is being used to secure.
