This nut features a non-serrated smooth flat bottom and is able to withstand vibrations without loosening. Also known as prevailing torque hexagon nylon locking flange stop nut.
This nut does not damage the threads of the fastener it is used with and is also reusable. The flange both distributes the force over a greater area when tightening and provides a larger spanner surface.
