Castle Nut DIN 935 Steel / Fine, Extra Fine Thread
Castle nuts are considered a positive locking device when secured to a fastener using a cotter (split) pin.
Castle nuts ensure that a fastener does not loosen from vibrations. Commonly used in low-torque applications - industries include automotive, aircraft and locomotive.
Zinc Plated and Yellow Zinc Plated finishes provide corrosion resistance without sacrificing strength.
Also known as castellated nut or slotted nut because of the slots or "notches" cut into one side.
