This locking nut relies on a nylon insert to create interference between the mating threads of a bolt or threaded rod. The nylon insert compresses to securely fasten the nut against the bolt, ensuring resistance to vibration and loosening.
Nylon lock nuts will not damage the threads a bolt or screw.
