A4 Stainless Nylon Lock Nut DIN 985

This locking nut relies on a nylon insert to create interference between the mating threads of a bolt or threaded rod. The nylon insert compresses to securely fasten the nut against the bolt, ensuring resistance to vibration and loosening.

Nylon lock nuts will not damage the threads a bolt or screw. Nylon insert color tone varies. Nylon nuts are of the most popular methods of fastener locking.

Material: A4 / SAE Type 316

A4 / 316 Stainless Steel fasteners are "marine grade" corrosion resistant; suitable for salt water applications. A4 fasteners also offer increased resistance to chemicals when compared with A2 stainless fasteners.
