Stainless Steel BLACK OXIDE Small Outer Diameter Metric Flat Washer
Reduced outer diameter flat washers are meant for machine screws, cheese head screws, socket head screws. The smaller outer diameter is great for tight clearance applications.
Flat washers are placed under a bolt head or nut to evenly distribute the load of the fastener over a wider area. Washers also provide a smooth bearing surface against the parent material, protecting it and preventing damage.
Stainless steel washers are commonly used in damp environments. They are popular across a wide range of industries: automotive, agriculture, architectural, sanitation, food processing, clean energy, etc.

The black oxide coating per MIL-DTL-13924, Class 4 on 300 series corrosion resistant steel meets 96 hours of resistance in a 5% salt spray (fog) test in accordance with ASTM B117. We recommend using stainless steel installation tools to prevent extraneous rust.
For any application involving marine (salt water), use A4 / 316 Stainless Steel material, available as a BULK special order.
