M1.4 Grooved Pins Round Head - A2 Stainless DIN 1476
Pin with three full-length grooves, semi-circular head.
Grooved pins are actually 'fluted', material is displaced in a swaging operation. Their holding power comes from the swaged material compressing into the hole. Also known as solid press-fit fasteners, used in pivots, levers, or locking fasteners.
Ideal for applications that require a fixed or stabilized handle that can still rotate around an axis. Semi-circular head provides a professional finish.
How to Measure:
To measure a press fit pin, measure the length of the pin (including the chamfers if present) and the diameter of the smaller end.
Material: A2 / SAE Type 304
A2 / 304 Stainless pins are commonly used on residential and commercial exteriors, solar installation, decking, terraces, fences, exterior stairs, porch furniture, recreational / playground equipment, pergolas, facades, railings, architectural facades and finish work.
For any application involving marine (salt water), use A4 / 316 Stainless Steel material.
