M5X0.8 Slotted Cup Point Set Screw - A2 Stainless DIN 438
Slotted set screws, also known as "straight slot" grub screws, are easily installed with a traditional flat head screwdriver or flat driver bit.
Cup point set screws have a concave indentation at one end. The cupped edge of the concave helps secure the set screw into place by digging to the contact surface material. This point style also helps prevent loosening from vibration.
Measured by overall length, a flat screwdriver is used to tighten this set screw.
For use in compression only, not for tensile or shear loads.
Set screws can be used as an easy-to-install alternative to full thread studs because they have a drive at one end.
Material A2 Stainless Steel
Commonly used in damp environments for corrosion resistance, stainless steel set screws are popular across a wide range of industries: automotive, furniture, industrial machinery, architectural components, agriculture, food processing, clean energy, etc.
For any application involving marine (salt water), use A4 / 316 Stainless Steel material.
