M6 Grooved Pins FULL Length Parallel - 303 Stainless DIN 1473
Press fit pin with three full-length parallel grooves.
Grooved pins are actually 'fluted', material is displaced in a swaging operation. Their holding power comes from the swaged material compressing into the hole. Also known as solid press-fit fasteners, used in pivots, levers, or locking fasteners.
Full-length grooves securely retain the pin, preventing it from spinning. Ideal for applications where severe vibration/shock loading is present
How to Measure:
To measure a press fit pin, measure the length of the pin (including the chamfers if present) and the diameter of the smaller end.
Material: A1 / SAE Type 303
A1 / 303 Stainless pins are commonly used in machining, the automotive industry, as well as for decorative strips, door handles and oil drain valves.
For any application involving marine (salt water), use A4 / 316 Stainless Steel material.
