M6 Metric Torx Socket Button Head Socket Cap Screw, Black Stainless Steel

Button head cap screws are great for limited space installation areas. Use a torx drive wrench to install these screws. The slim design of a torx socket wrench allows access to tight locations where a traditional external hex drive bolt would not fit. The smooth head design gives a neat, professional finish free from sharp edges, great for furniture an automotive applications.

Torx drive screws provide higher torque transfer because the driving forces are transferred to each surface of the six lobes (wobble-free), instead of the four edges of the four edges on a Phillips drive. Additional benefits include less wear on tools and no damage to the stainless steel surface coating.

Material: Stainless Steel
Suitable for damp locations
Corrosion resistant

Finish: Black Oxide
- Abrasion resistant, does not peel, chip or rub off
- Reduces friction, prevents galling
- Does not change the strength of the stainless steel
- Practically no dimensional change to base fastener
- The spray applied during the coating process wears off over time, revealing an attractive matte black finish

The black oxide coating per MIL-DTL-13924, Class 4 on 300 series corrosion resistant steel meets 96 hours of resistance in a 5% salt spray (fog) test in accordance with ASTM B117. We recommend using stainless steel installation tools to prevent extraneous rust.

Torx drive button head screws are fully threaded, meant to engage with a tapped hole. They can be used with many different styles of locking and non-locking nuts, tightly clamping together whatever the cap screw is being used to secure.
