A higher profile / overall height provides additional thread engagement.
This locking nut relies on a nylon insert to create interference between the mating threads of a bolt or threaded rod. The nylon insert compresses to securely fasten the nut against the bolt, ensuring resistance to vibration and loosening.
Class 10 metric lock nuts provide a high strength, high tensile fastening solution. Commonly paired with Class 10.9 metric bolts and screws. Nylon lock nuts will not damage the threads a bolt or screw.
Zinc Plated finishes provide corrosion resistance without sacrificing strength. Nylon insert color tone varies.
