High Profile / Coarse Thread
A higher profile / overall height provides additional thread engagement.
This locking nut relies on a nylon insert to create interference between the mating threads of a bolt or threaded rod. The nylon insert compresses to securely fasten the nut against the bolt, ensuring resistance to vibration and loosening.
Class 8 metric lock nuts provide a medium strength, high tensile fastening solution. Commonly paired with Class 8.8 bolts and screws. Nylon lock nuts will not damage the threads a bolt or screw.
Zinc Plated and Yellow Zinc Plated finishes provide corrosion resistance without sacrificing strength. Nylon insert color tone varies.
Nylon nuts are of the most popular methods of fastener locking. Also known as high type nylon lock nut or extra tall prevailing torque lock nut.
