Detail & Specs
Slotted Truss Head Machine Screw / Stainless Steel
These screws have an oversized "truss" head style with an undercut bottom, low height rounded dome top and single indented horizontal slot.
The flat bearing surface underneath the head covers a larger diameter than a typical pan head machine screw. This increased surface area reduces the chances of crushing or marring the material the screw is tightened against.
A truss-style head is the preferred design in applications where minimal clearance exists above the head. Suitable for license plates.
Machine thread screws can be used in a tapped hole or with a locking / non-locking nut. Length is measured from underneath the head.
