Plated Steel / Fuji Style Flange Lock Nut
Fuji hex flange locking nuts can be installed and removed multiple times. The locking mechanism for this nut is a set of three retaining teeth. The interference between the locking teeth and the threads of the mating bolt prevents loosening during vibration.
The all metal construction is better for higher temperature installations where a nylon-insert lock nut might fail. The non-serrated flange under the nut acts as a built-in washer to evenly distribute pressure over a larger area against the fastening surface.
