Detail & Specs
DIN 910 Hex Head Drain Plug / STEEL
Used for plugging parallel thread tapped holes. These drain plugs have a taper under the flange style head to seat a crush or sealing washer. The sealing ring secures the plug against the hole, preventing leakage. A wrench is used to install and tighten the plug.
Use with our copper or aluminum gaskets as well as bonded sealing gaskets.
Hex head drive plugs are used extensively for commercial, industrial, automotives, boats, sanitary pipes and fittings. Consider using a thread sealant or thread seal tape on the plug prior to installation for an extra secure seal, reducing the possibility of leakage.
Specification
DIN 910 hex flange screw plugs with collar are ideally used for plugging holes with cylindrical, straight, or parallel threads.
Designed to create a tighter seal with higher tightening torques for masking cylindrically threaded holes and are commonly used to seal holes in machinery, fittings or pipes to prevent leakage of air, steam, gases, water, oil and fluids under pressure.
Finish
Zinc Plated and Yellow Zinc Plated finishes provide corrosion resistance, plain finish does not.
Also known as external hex screw plug with collar, hexagon head pipe plug, also great for blocking off intake manifold water ports, water pump ports, water temp and oil sender holes, and engine block holes.
