M10X1.25 FINE THREAD Flat Point Allen Set Screw

Flat point set screws have a flat end that will not damage the contact surface material, offering superior resistance to wear. The flat point design makes these set screws easy to adjust, seating it flush with or below the work surface after installation.
For use in compression only, not for tensile or shear loads. Set screws can be used as an easy-to-install alternative to full thread studs because they have an internal allen socket drive at one end for compression use only. Commonly used in automotive and industrial machinery applications.
Measured by overall length, an allen socket hex drive is used to tighten this set screw.
A black oxide finish provides minimal corrosion resistance, best for indoor, dry environments. This finish is not suitable for outdoor applications, and will rust when exposed to moisture.
