Flat head cap screws have a 90 degree angle underneath the head. When installed, the head of this screw is meant to sit flush with the surface of the work in a countersunk hole.
Measured by overall length, including the head.
Black Oxide finish provides minimal corrosion resistance, best for dry environments. This finish is not suitable for outdoor applications, and will rust when exposed to moisture.
These bolts can be used with many different styles of locking and non-locking nuts, tightly clamping together whatever the cap screw is being used to secure.
