ISO 8678 SHORT COLLAR Metric Carriage Bolt / Class 8.8 Steel
Special short collar ISO carriage bolts with square shoulder under the head that fits into a prepared square-bored hole. The self-locking square neck prevents rotation, holding the bolt in place while tightened with a mating nut.
A large, smooth domed head creates a safe finish installation, the absence of a drive socket prevents debris build up.
Class 8.8 steel provides a medium strength, high tensile fastening solution. Pair with Class 8 or stronger nuts. Yellow Zinc provides corrosion resistance
Specification: ISO 8678 and DIN 603 standards both cover carriage bolts and are very similar, the most noticeable difference is in the head diameter and collar / head height. ISO 8678 is the lower profile standard.
