M8 Metric Allen Socket Head Bolt, Black Stainless Steel
A2-70 Stainless / Full Head Height

Socket head bolts are great for limited space installation areas. An allen wrench is used to install these screws, allowing access into tight locations where a traditional external hex drive bolt would not fit.

Partially threaded socket cap bolts have an unthreaded length under the head that is stronger than the threaded portion of the bolt. The unthreaded / threaded length dimensions vary by diameter. Fully threaded socket cap screws are meant to engage the entire length with a tapped hole. The socket head may be smooth or knurled.

These bolts can be used with many different styles of locking and non-locking nuts, tightly clamping together whatever the cap screw is being used to secure.

Material: Stainless Steel
Suitable for damp locations
Corrosion resistant

Finish: Black Oxide
Attractive matte black finish

The black oxide coating per MIL-DTL-13924, Class 4 on 300 series corrosion resistant steel will show no signs of corrosion after 96 hours of exposure in a 5% salt spray (fog) test in accordance with ASTM B117.

For any application involving marine (salt water), use A4 / 316 Stainless Steel material, available as a BULK special order.
