Smooth Nylon Flange Nut DIN 6926 / Stainless Steel + Black Oxide
Nylon insert locking flange nuts have a non-serrated, flat underside and are able to withstand extreme vibrations without loosening. The smooth bottom flange acts as a built-in washer to evenly distribute force over a larger area against the fastening surface.
This nut does not damage the threads of bolts or screws and can be reused a limited number of times. Not recommended for higher temperature installations. Nylon insert color tone varies. Also known as prevailing torque hexagon nylon locking flange stop nut.

The black oxide coating per MIL-DTL-13924, Class 4 on 300 series corrosion resistant steel will show no signs of corrosion after 96 hours of exposure in a 5% salt spray (fog) test in accordance with ASTM B117.

For any application involving marine (salt water), use A4 / 316 Stainless Steel material, available in bulk packs and as a special order.
