Acorn Nylon Locking Nut - A4 Stainless DIN 986
Nylon Insert Locking Acorn nuts are used to cover and protect exposed threads. This nylon locking nut relies on a nylon insert to create interference between the mating threads of a bolt or threaded rod.
The nylon insert compresses to securely fasten the nut against the bolt, ensuring resistance to vibration and loosening.
Also known as dome nut, hexagon domed cap nut.
Material: A4 / SAE Type 316
A4 / 316 Stainless Steel fasteners are "marine grade" corrosion resistant; suitable for salt water applications. A4 fasteners also offer increased resistance to chemicals when compared with A2 stainless fasteners.
