M8 Metric Cup Point Allen Set Screw
Set screws are commonly used in tight areas, sitting flush with or below the work surface. Cup point set screws have a concave indentation at one end. The cupped edge of the concave helps secure the set screw into place by digging to the contact surface material. This point style also helps prevent loosening from vibration.
Measured by overall length, an allen socket hex drive is used to tighten this set screw.
A black oxide finish provides minimal corrosion resistance, best for indoor, dry environments. This finish is not suitable for outdoor applications, and will rust when exposed to moisture.
