Castle Nut - A4-50 Stainless DIN 935
Castle nuts are considered a positive locking device when secured to a fastener using a cotter (split) pin. They ensure that a fastener does not loosen from vibrations.
Commonly used in low-torque applications - industries include automotive, aircraft and locomotive.
Also known as castellated nut or slotted nut because of the slots or "notches" cut into one side.
Material: A4 Stainless
A4 / 316 Stainless Steel fasteners are "marine grade" corrosion resistant; suitable for salt water applications. A4 fasteners also offer increased resistance to chemicals when compared with A2 stainless fasteners.
