Hex Jam Nut - Class 4 Steel ISO 4035
Jam Nuts are typically half the height of a standard hex nut. Jam Nuts can function as a lock nut assembly when jammed up against another nut to lock the two in place.
Commonly used with threaded rod and in light duty situations where vibration must be prevented from loosening a bolted joint.
Also known as thin lock nut or low profile hex nut, non-locking six-sided nut for general use.
Finish: Zinc Flake / 480h salt spray
Zinc Flake Finish is corrosion resistant and able to withstand high temperatures. Water based, chromium free with a salt spray rating of greater than 480 hours. This finish is also paintable and does not cause hydrogen embrittlement, making it suitable for high tensile fasteners.
