M2.5 Grooved Pins FULL Length Taper - Steel DIN 1471
Press fit pin with three full-length tapered grooves.
Grooved pins are actually 'fluted', material is displaced in a swaging operation. Their holding power comes from the swaged material compressing into the hole. Also known as solid press-fit fasteners, used in pivots, levers, or locking fasteners.
Ideal for applications requiring superior locking and ease of assembly. Used in place of rivets, set screws, or machine keys.
How to Measure:
To measure a press fit pin, measure the length of the pin (including the chamfers if present) and the diameter of the smaller end.
