M2.9 Phillips Pan Head Tapping Screw - A4 Stainless DIN 7981-C
Pan head style self-tapping screws have chamfered / curved sides and are one of the most common tapping screw styles. These screws have a recessed phillips drive and are meant to be installed directly into sheet metal.
Length is measured from underneath the head
Tapping Screws require a pilot hole and tap their own threads during install. They cannot be used with machine thread tapped holes or machine thread nuts.
Material: A4 / SAE Type 316
A4 / 316 Stainless Steel fasteners are "marine grade" corrosion resistant; suitable for salt water applications. A4 fasteners also offer increased resistance to chemicals when compared with A2 stainless fasteners.
