ISO 4017 (full thread) and ISO 4014 (partial thread) hot-dip galvanized hex bolts are high-strength fasteners with a hexagonal head, manufactured to ISO standards with a standard 6h thread tolerance.
These bolts are ideal for structural and load-bearing applications where either full thread engagement (4017) or increased shear strength in the unthreaded shank (4014) is required, such as in steel fabrication, heavy equipment, and infrastructure projects.
Material + Finish
Made from Class 10.9 alloy steel, these bolts provide a minimum tensile strength of 1040 MPa. The hot-dip galvanized finish delivers a thick, durable zinc coating that offers long-term corrosion resistance in demanding outdoor or industrial environments.
Because hot-dip galvanizing builds up material on the thread surface, mating nuts or tapped holes must be prepared with oversized tapping allowances to ensure proper fit. This finish forms a strong metallurgical bond for superior abrasion resistance compared to thinner electroplated coatings.
Commonly used in structural steel connections, outdoor assemblies, heavy machinery, wind and solar installations, and utility infrastructure. Compatible with ISO 4032 hex nuts or equivalent metric hardware with the appropriate finish and thread class.
