M3X0.5 Slotted Drive Flat Point Set Screw - A4 Stainless DIN 551
Slotted set screws, also known as "straight slot" grub screws, are easily installed with a traditional flat head screw driver or flat driver bit.
Flat point set screws have a flat end that will not damage the contact surface material, offering superior resistance to wear. The flat point design makes these set screws easy to adjust, seating it flush with or below the work surface after installation.
Measured by overall length, a slotted screwdriver is used to tighten this set screw.
For use in compression only, not for tensile or shear loads.
Set screws can be used as an easy-to-install alternative to full thread studs because they have a drive at one end.
Material: A4 / SAE Type 316
A4 / 316 Stainless Steel fasteners are "marine grade" corrosion resistant; suitable for salt water applications. A4 fasteners also offer increased resistance to chemicals when compared with A2 stainless fasteners.
