Slotted set screws, also known as "straight slot" grub screws, are easily installed with a traditional flat head screwdriver or flat driver bit.
Cone Point grub screws are commonly used in electronics and industrial machinery. Great for securing into a recess, will not mar mating surface, provides vibration resistant connection point. Good for softer materials.
Measured by overall length, a flat screwdriver is used to tighten this set screw. For use in compression only, not for tensile or shear loads.
