M5X0.8 Hex SEMS Lock Washer + Flat Washer with 12mm O.D. - Stainless
Stainless steel hex head SEMS screw with a pre-assembled captive lock washer and flat washer, combining two essential components into a single, easy-to-install fastener. The SEMS design streamlines assembly, reduces part count, and improves efficiency in both manual and automated production environments.
The hex head offers strong torque application using standard wrenches or sockets. The split lock washer helps prevent loosening due to vibration, while the flat washer distributes load to minimize damage to softer materials like plastic or thin sheet metal.
Stainless steel SEMS screws are especially valuable in assemblies where vibration resistance and reliable, repeatable installation are critical. Length is measured from beneath the head, including the washer stack.
Material
Made from A2 stainless steel (equivalent to 304), these screws provide good corrosion resistance for most indoor and general outdoor environments. However, A2 stainless is not recommended for marine or highly corrosive environments, where A4 (316) stainless would be a more appropriate choice.
A2 SEMS screws are suitable for dry or mildly damp conditions, offering durability and a clean finish for a wide range of applications.
