M6X1.0 COARSE THREAD Flat Point Allen Set Screw
Set Screws can also be used as allen drive studs. Most full thread studs do not have an internal allen socket drive at one end, making set screws an easy-to-install alternative. Commonly used in automotive and industrial machinery applications.
Flat point set screws have a flat end that will not damage the contact surface material, offering superior resistance to wear. The flat point design makes these set screws easy to adjust, seating it flush with or below the work surface after installation.
Measured by overall length, an allen socket hex drive is used to tighten this set screw.
Finish
Zinc Plated and Yellow Zinc Plated finishes provide corrosion resistance without sacrificing strength. A black oxide finish provides minimal corrosion resistance, best for indoor, dry environments. This finish is not suitable for outdoor applications, and will rust when exposed to moisture.
