M6X1.0 Slotted Cheese Head - A2-70 Stainless DIN 84
Cheese head screws have a reduced head diameter, making them an excellent choice for compact spaces. Cheese heads feature a flat bearing surface and a single indented horizontal slot.
As an older “legacy” screw style these are commonly used for restoration projects in automotive and industrial applications.
Machine thread screws can be used in a tapped hole or with a locking / non-locking nut. Length is measured from underneath the head.
Also known as cylindrical head screw or metric common blade truss machine screw for use with flat-bladed screwdrivers.
DIN 84 Specification
The manufacturing tolerance within the DIN 84 dimensional spec allows for the top of the cheese head profile to have either a sharp outer edge or a chamfered outer edge profile.
