Spinning Loose Washer Acorn Nut - Steel Zinc Plated
The best of both worlds! Combine the protection of an acorn nut with a conical lock washer and you've got a Spin-Locking Acorn Nut.
These nuts turn freely during install until the conical washer is compressed against the mating surface as the nut is tightened. The locking tension created by the compressed washer helps prevent the nut from loosening during vibration. The washer also evenly distributes this force over a larger area against the fastening surface.
