M12X1.75 Cone Point Allen Set Screw - Zinc Plated Steel
Cup point set screws have a concave indentation at one end. The cupped edge of the concave helps secure the set screw into place by digging to the contact surface material. This point style also helps prevent loosening from vibration.
Measured by overall length, an allen socket hex drive is used to tighten this set screw.
For use in compression only, not for tensile or shear loads.
Set screws can be used as an easy-to-install alternative to full thread studs because they have an internal allen socket drive at one end.
Finish - Zinc Plated finish provides corrosion resistance without sacrificing strength.
For any application involving marine (salt water), use A4 / 316 Stainless Steel material.
