M3X0.5 Hex Head SEMS with Split Lock Washer - Stainless
Stainless steel hex head SEMS screw with a pre-assembled captive lock washer, combining the screw and washer into a single, efficient fastening solution. The SEMS design reduces part count, streamlines assembly, and minimizes the chance of lost components—ideal for both manual installation and automated production environments.
The hex head provides reliable torque transmission using standard tools like wrenches or sockets. The split lock washer helps maintain clamping force by resisting loosening from vibration or thermal cycling, making this screw particularly effective in dynamic or high-vibration applications.
Length is measured from beneath the head, including the lock washer. This configuration is widely used where secure, repeatable fastening is essential and added load distribution from a flat washer is not required.
Material
Made from A2 stainless steel (equivalent to 304), this screw offers strong corrosion resistance in most indoor and general outdoor environments. However, A2 stainless is not suitable for marine or highly corrosive environments—for those applications, A4 (316) stainless would be recommended. A2 provides a balance of strength, corrosion resistance, and cost-effectiveness for standard industrial use.
