LEFT HAND Reverse Machine Thread / Hanger Bolt
The machine screw portion of this hanger bolt has left handed machine threads, unlike regular machine threading that turns to the right.
Hanger bolts have machine threading on one end and wood/lag tapping screw threading on the other. Popular for suspending construction wiring or metal assemblies from wood.
Reverse thread hanger bolts can be used in applications where the continuous rotation of an assembly would cause a standard right-hand threaded fastener to unscrew, while a left-hand fastener would remain securely in place.
